this is some bs*

i'll admit - we chicagoans got pretty spoiled this past week. i guess a lakefront bike ride (correction: being able to use my bike as transportation again, period) and sitting on my deck with a glass of wine was too much to ask for, because now we have this:

that's right people, chi-city woke up to a blizzard

for some reason i thought today would be a perfect day to go visit my parents. since neither one of them was available for a pick-up, i got to walk the 1.5 miles from the bus stop home

oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree...

wait a second, that's not right

1.5 miles later, my toes were feeling a bit moist

and a tad frostbitten

welcome back, snow. not.

although the woods do look more pristine

covered in the white stuff.

but the leaves i asked for are gonna have to wait

my huge, alien-esque hood came in handy while i braved the blizzard

home sweet home

this just so happened to be my first time ever

remembering my keys

otherwise this post would have been far more depressing

*this is supposed to be the first day of spring, no less. um?
